Title : Devil In A B & B
Taken from their long-awaited second album, this new track features a lead vocal shared by Alfie Scheinman & Sarah Birch. Recorded at Mwnci Studios and produced by Joe Gibb it's a definite progression from album number one yet still managing to retain the psychedelic-folk feel while adding a harder edge with the introduction of Simon Jones on drums (no stranger to fans of the band as he's been a regular fixture for some time). Simon's intricate and detailed work on the percussion is a extra layer of luxury to an already sumptious sounding group ! As is Kate Ronconi's ethereal contributions on the violin and backing vocals (and she's nicer to look at......sorry Simon 😁). These guys are not new kids on the block. They've earned their stripes over the years and have an unmatched pedigree in the songwriting talent of Darran Browning whch added to the incredible talents of the others makes for an aural explosion of mind-blowing beauty. If this is a taster for the new one we are all in for a treat - it sparkles from the speakers setting the airwaves alight. The partnership of Joe Gibb and the band is a magical bond that seems to work effortlessly and pays back in this rarest of all things - truly beautiful, inspiring and original music. The song has the most heart-stoppingly inspired ending as Sarah Birch is leaves us with one word..........check it out. One for the masses x
